Phoenix

Phoenix is a beautiful male with exceptional confirmation and very, very dense fleece. His density, color, and staple length has great consistency from top to bottom on his solid frame. He has a calm, gentle disposition and he is a favorite for farm visitors. Phoenix is also fantastic on a halter and easy to handle, making him a great herd sire for Meadowgate!  With numerous crias on the ground now, we can say that he reliably improves fineness and conformation. His babies always have his head style and disposition. Phoenix also consistently throws a cria that is one or two shades darker than the mom’s color, which is helpful in predicting future fiber color. It was time to add some gray fiber to our program and we decided to start with Estevan, or Vinny as he’s known behind the scenes. This guy packs a powerhouse punch with his fiber, full of fineness and density with a wonderful handle. All on a sturdy male frame, Vinny has grown into a robust alpaca who will be entering our breeding program this spring or fall. Stay tuned for what are sure to be superstar offspring!
